In an attempt to capture a fleeing silkwing, a hivewing guard chased them to the edge of the continent, and due to a storm, the two were both blown out to sea. The silkwing's fate was unknown, but the hivewing washed up on the shores on Pyrrihia and was promptly captured by a patrol of skywings near the coast.

Scarlet was thrilled by the hivewing's venom weapons and inducted them into the breeding program to obtain soldiers of their own with such abilities before gifting the hivewing to Burn, who stuffed them and put them on display. From the program however, came three eggs. The first two dragonets looked far too much like their hivewing parent and were disposed of, while the third passed enough as a skywing to be kept around and raised as a soldier.

The hybrid would grow up to be an incredibly powerful soldier, paralyzing prisoners, using their venom for interrogation, and even fighting for her majesty's amusement in the arena on occasion. They aren't entirely loyal to the skywings however, knowing of the the fate of their parent and their siblings.
