Sylas

Sylas is the travelling companion of Eidjar and Sorokah. As a child he was found in the desert by a merchant who took him in. But his many absences for work have meant that Sylas has spent a lot of time on the streets with street kids, where he has learned to steal and when Dicarius, the merchant with whom he lives, is not there, he goes to live with them. He is the head of a small group that he takes care of. He has an old book of stories that belonged to his mother and he reads them to them. He is generally quite cheerful and sociable but he is also a big coward who tries to hide this trait behind feigned confidence and arrogance.
