Germaine

Germaine is a half-orc half-elf born to the orc chieftess Agnes and a elve commoner named Halmar. Germaine's parents met when Agnes's tribe was raiding an elf village and Agnes took a particular liking to Halmar. Halmar does not return Agnes's affections and simply goes along with her passively since Agnes constantly showered him with gifts and wealth. Once Germaine was born, Halmar returned to his now rebuilt village to raise her in a much safer environment than in a nomadic orc camp. Germaine's father was a wood worker and kept Germaine busy tending to small chores around his shop, letting her out to play with the elve children when she wasn't busy. It was at the young age of 5 that Germaine survived a fall off a fairly steep cliff side near the village, which is theorized to be the cause of her personality today. At the age of 12 her father had noticed she had become gradually more challenged as she aged, which is when he made a tradition of sending Germaine off every 6 months to find her mothers tribe and live with them a couple of weeks to learn more about her Orcish culture and combat, although over the training sessions Germaine had realized she had a strict inability to even properly land a blow, resulting in her attempting to hide this from her war-loving mother til this day. At 18 Germaine was permanently living with the Orc tribe and feared that at some point she would have to engage in combat, and thus took this opportunity to head to cities and take up freeloading as a drifter, taking whatever kindness came across her and learning a bit about adventuring. After coming across two strangers arguing in the city of Winterfell, she hitches a ride with them for the ride and a new adventure.
