Profile
Lividity is an anthropomorphic coyote that was brought back to life via strange fungi and moss growth on her body. The odd plants brought her back to life and greatly slowed down the decomposition process. Due to the plants giving her life, they are always growing on her body. An unintended side effect of this process is the seemingly bizarre ability to harness forms of magic. Granted, Lividity typically forgets these abilities or just uses them to jester around.
- Spastic
- Humorous
- Noisy/Loud
- Smart, but plays dumb
- Cold weather
- Coffee
- Teasing others
- Stealing food
- Lividity doesn't have to eat to live due to the plant-growth on her body. However, she likes to eat anyways.
- She doesn't have extremely great vision due to the damage done by decomposition. Though she is lucky that any of her eyesight returned at all due to a lack of actual eyeballs.
- One of her ears is always lopsided while the other is normal. Despite this, the damage is only cosmetic and she can hear just fine.
- Often forgets how long ago she died, and seems to have poor memory regarding her life beforehand.
The term, "GhoulBeast," is an unofficial term Lividity gave herself regarding her unique status. She feels it is easier to call herself a ghoul rather than explain her situation every time someone asks her what she is. "GhoulBeast," itself is not a species, but rather a mere label she gave herself to ease communication. In regards to legal documents (such as a driver's license) she is simply identified as, "coyote."
The exact anatomy and identification of the plant life residing on her body is unknown, as not even Lividity herself understands how it works beyond a basic level. What is known is that the plants do have the ability to bloom and produce pollen. Some of the plants possess mild glow-in-the-dark tendencies, though it is unknown on as to why due to the plants being unidentifiable.
It has been known that the plants do provide vital things to Lividity, and that pruning them can briefly weaken her immune system. The plants also offer sustenance to her body as long as they are given sufficient UV. This allows for Lividity to not have to consume regular food in order to thrive. Regardless, Lividity eats because it's enjoyable to her and it doesn't seem to harm the plants any. The green growth has slowed down any decomposition she experienced when deceased, but it can't regenerate her body on a very grand scale. This means that the flesh on her face will not return, and her ear will continue to be lopsided. That being said, small cases of regeneration has occurred, such as her fur quality improving and her eyesight partially returning despite a lack of proper eyeballs.
It is assumed that due to the plants somehow bringing her back to life, they must also provide Lividity the ability to mess with reality. She doesn't quite remember exactly when or how she learned that she possessed magic, and she often briefly forgets that she even has those abilities. Although the magic she has isn't anything overtly extravagant, it has proven genuinely useful in some situations.
She has an ability she personally calls, "illusion," where she can think of an item and give the appearance that it actually spawned out of thin air. The items are intangible and at first was a difficult power for her to use as she had to be able to imagine said item perfectly in order to get the appearance to look right. Though after practice she has been able to use this trick with ease and often does it to fool her friends. However, despite much use with this magic, it is impossible for her to give herself the illusion of a completely normal coyote. It is unknown if it is an actual limitation with the magic, or if it is due to Lividity possibly not remembering what she looked like before death.
Another ability is one she calls, "fast travel," where she can almost immediately bring herself to another area via spawning a sort of a black hole. Lividity finds this ability mostly useless due to the fact it takes up a lot of her energy and that she can only fast travel up to 3 miles from her current location. If she is with someone else, they can also enter the black hole as long as they hold her paw. The problem with this though is that the other party will almost always experience a form of nausea upon exiting. This ability is a more recently discovered one so all of it's limitations and capabilities have not been found out yet.
