Cassius

arrogant . intelligent . perfectionist

To most, Cassius comes off as an arrogant man with an air of confidence around him and a better-than-you attitude that seems to never leave him. Only a select few know, though, that these traits are the result of years and years of study and hard work that Cassius still, to this day, pours his life into. Perfectionism taken to an extreme, Cassius distances himself from other people in favor of completing his work.

Born in Gyr Abania on the outskirts of the resistance, growing up was not very easy. Cass' father was strict with him right from a very young age, expecting the boy to fight and fight well against the Garlean Empire. The young hyur wasn't, however, meeting expectations and it soon became quite obvious that he'd likely never be very skilled with the sword, or anything else that required him to be at a close range. Despite his father's strict regime, Cassius eventually turned to tinkering with the Magitek machinery that he'd find left behind by the Garleans. Blueprints, notes, sleepless nights and endless tinkering. Cassius dove into the study of magitek machinery in hopes of helping the resistance that way and finally making his family proud. Through these studies, he learned what magitek required to be powered and why the garleans even used it in the first place.

An idea hatched in his mind - What would become of magitek if he were to add magic to the ceruleum fuel? If he himself fueled it with his own aether?
