Haruka Hiyashiko

Haruka Hiyashiko  is the resilient leader of the Theta Clan. She is extremely hardworking  and doesn’t shy away from any challenge. She is looked up to by her  people and is held up as an example. Haruka has worked incredibly hard  to earn her clan a spot on the Council and is the first Theta Clan  leader to sit among the rest of  the clans as an equal. She is also a  first-class fighter, swordsman, and hunter having wished to work  alongside her people and to experience their struggles with them. She  works closely with Alpha Clan doing more clandestine missions and is  good friends with the leaders of Kappa and Iota. She is still young and  many expect more great things to come from her, before she's ready to  settle down and start a family.

                       Haruka is a  second generation Trufflefloss, her parents were young during the great  rot and at least her mother is thought to have come straight from Beta.  Haruka is not conflicted about her heritage however, unlike her mother  she has no place in her heart for the Beta clan and wishes only to rise  above the treatment they get from them. Haruka sometimes takes her  vendetta too far, refusing to work closely with the Beta leaders, trade  with them or protect them in times of strife. Once she even closed the  border to Beta for several weeks during a particularly brutal fight with  the Beta leader Kathari. The two are like cats, always clawing at  each others necks during any clan meeting. Though neither of them want  war, and have a sort of silent agreement not to let their squabbles put  their citizens in danger.

Haruka is the only daughter of her parents,  and as such is the only heir to her throne. Despite this she actively  explores the dangerous forests of her homeland, and trains diligently in  the grand dojos that dot the Theta region. She is an expert in all  things battle and hunting, and is a model for all young men and women  who train to be shinobi in the clan. She is in peak physical condition.  Some revere Haruka as an icon of beauty an romance but she is actually  not particularly interested in dating. Rumors may spread about her and  her close confidants but if asked she will state that its not even on  her mind right now, even if her people are clamoring for an heir. The  thought of sharing her throne with a husband and ruining her body in  childbirth is not something she's keen on.

Haruka loves to dress up  in elegant gowns and traditional gear, she is in love with her heritage  and holds the Theta clan's rituals and beliefs in high regard. She  claims to have met a spirit of the forest when she was young, and  believes they guide her in all she does. Some of her people claim she is  'blessed' by the spirits and will follow her lead anywhere. As a  leader, Haruka focuses most on the preservation of her heritage and  erecting and preserving temple and statues to the spirits and warriors  of the past. She loves gold, and uses it in her architecture whenever  possible. Creating an empire of gold that is prosperous, safe, and  respected by others is her main goal as a leader. Though, other clans  can see her enthusiasm as threatening, those closest to her admire her  for her passion and ferocity.
