RAM is an accomplished light cycle racer, turned propaganda tool, turned again into a freedom fighter.
Despite the seriousness of their situation, RAM is a fun-loving program whose lack of a frontal lobe is evident by their propensity for impulsive decisions and a love of fun.
RAM is willing to fight with their friends to secure a free Grid - no matter the cost.

Note: RAM has no relation to the character from Tron 1982 with the same name. In all honestly... I watched Legacy then Uprising, during which time I made RAM... THEN I watched Tron 1982. At this point I don't want to change their name because: 1) It's a Daft Punk reference, 2) I like it. So unfortunately, RAM will keep the name and doom all the rest of you to mild confusion.

History

RAM was once a program known as Amp, an unremarkable information processing program and all around corporate cog. One of Amp's few sources of enjoyment was participating in underground light cycle races, despite not being programmed with racing capabilites. Though not explicitly a resistance group, the group of racers they ran with was anti-authoritarian enough to catch the attention of CLU 2's occupying forces. During a crackdown one cycle, where all of Amp's crew either got derezzed or shipped off to the games, Amp was involved in a high-speed light cycle collision. Despite losing half their head, Amp didn't derezz. Perhaps due to their remarkable resilience or simply the opportunity for a new guinea pig, the regime took Amp and revived them using a specialized support helmet. With no memories of who they once where, RAM was born.

With no memory and being surrounded by CLU's army, RAM was kept ignorant about their situation for many cycles. Slowly, though, things began to break through their naive mindset and RAM started to realize how they were being used. The final straw was when they were set to race against three captured programs - except none of them were given light cycles. Realizing they were about to become an executioner, at the point of no return RAM chose instead to sabotage the event by colliding with the CLU-aligned racers on their own team. They didn't think much about what would happen after, though, and had it not been for the timely intervention of the Renegade arriving to save them from immediate derezzolution, RAM would have been bytes.

From there, RAM chose to join the Uprising against CLU's forces. Though they didn't have much choice in their future, with CLU immediately branding them as a traitor to the state, RAM would have eventually chosen to rebel in the end. Where they go from here remains to be seen.

Currently, RAM is living in Tron's hideout along with their former team mate and friend (?), Worm. They're more than a bit chaotic, but that turns out to be a useful skill in a rebellion.

misc

Personality: Goofy, chaotic, competitive
Notable abilities: electricity charge/discharge, speed boost, requires frequent recharging
Likes: Light cycle racing, music (Daft Punk!), dancing like a fool
Dislikes: Cheaters, overly controlling programs, being restrained

Fun facts:
- RAM is missing half their head. Their helmet doubles as an external battery and keeps energy from leaking out

- As a result of the damage their code received, they are one of the few programs on the Grid that can speak French.

- RAM's design is primarily inspired by Daft Punk in Tron: Legacy, and the Tron skins from Fortnite

- RAM has an idiosyncratic collection of rude, off putting phrases they love to say (such as: "hope I dont jack off")

- Known to flirt with Programs in order to steal their light cycle batons.

- RAM is shorter than most programs - where the average height is 6'5", RAM is around 5'10"

Relations

.WORMbesties (worsties)
RAM and Worm were first introduced at The Games as team mates, where RAM immediately realized there was something very wrong with the program they were paired with. RAM seems to be the only one distressed (or even aware) that Worm is "weird werid." Nonetheless, they are now roommates at Tron's hideout where they regularly engage in very realistic sparring matches and Worm regularly tries to eat RAM's head. (Owned by crimsondukemon)

GIGAfriend
A bit that follows around Worm and RAM. Though they are friendly to both, Giga enjoys watching the two fight and will often set up situations that facilitate them butting heads - even if neither realize the simple program is the cause. (Owned by Crowbotic)

EPROMrelationship
A program that has known RAM since they were still an anxious corporate cog named Amp. They've become closer now that RAM is living how they truly want to live.

BOTELenemy
A user (?) who appears one day and plunges a strange, key-shaped weapon into RAM, causing another being named Marx to appear - who bears a shocking resemblance to RAM. RAM doesn't believe his claims of trying to "protect the flow of fate" and views him with distrust.

BOTELenemy?
A mysterious being who bears a shocking resemblance to RAM. They do not trust each other.

TRONfriend
RAM's roommate and dear friend. They are very good at getting on each other's nerves, though.

BECKfriend
The program that saved RAM from the Games, and a dear friend. They get along quite well
