Mercutio is a man with a very dry sense of humor, he tends to come off outwardly as incredibly dry humored and sarcastic, often fixing everyone with a bored or 100% done expression. He often has to reassure people that no, he isn't angry at them, thats just his face. He is a confident and exuberant young man with a lively nature, the sort that doesn't seem to get visibly beaten down or shaken by anything. He has a flair for being ridiculously dramatic, often quoting plays and musicals to convey his point, and his words are often accompanied by flourishes with his hands or his whole body when he's standing. He is not above breaking into loud song and dance. However, he does have his moments where this confidence falters and cracks, where his anxiety manages to get the better of him, he tends to hide from his friends when this happens, becoming a bit more distant and scarce, it's his own way of asking for help without asking for help, as it's a fairly drastic change from his normal disposition.

With his friends, Mercution is a selfless and often over protected mother hen, he is always making sure his friends are eating and sleeping enough, and will not hesitate to make you come over to his house for a home cooked meal and a long nap if he thinks you're not. He's a lot softer than he likes to pretend he is, putting out a rough and bitinf front to other people, but coddling and hugging on his friends. He will do absolutely anything for you once you manage to break down his outer walls and get into his friend circle, ridiculously selfless and willing to put aside whatever he might feel to help with whatever his friends need. He is especially protective of his best friend, Lafayette, pity to the fool that hurts either of his close friends.
