Gabriel

Gabriel is a woodland fae, born of an elven mother and a faery father in the Mound, shrouded by ancient magic and protection from the other species. They live among the wolven, goblins and various other offspring of nature, some conceived without parents at all. He was loved and nurtured by his family his whole life, and on his 90th birthday they finally blessed him with the ability to visit Earth for the first time. Armed with a vast knowledge of nature and magic, he was transported from the Mound directly to New London. He was fascinated by the lights, sounds and smells of human civilisation, swept away by arts and music and running a small potion shop guarded by wolves and staffed by himself and a goblin friend, Farron. They worked side by side, and business boomed after the 2005 treaty when humans finally felt safe enough to buy potions of their own within the city, building relationships with other species and making him the most happy and successful he had ever been. However on his 100th birthday in 2007 he received a threatening letter from an unnamed government official stating that if he did not vacate the property and return to the Mound immediately, everything he owned would be destroyed and given to the human landowners. He was not aware at this time that the letter was from Alien Scavengers disguising themselves to take control of his shop so that they could live safely, but he was so frightened that he did not take his chances. He left a letter behind for his parents and Farron and ran as far as he could to the other side of the city, being found by a short demon boy (Damian) who promised to protect him if he could run his errands and pay for his keep. He took the offer, naïve as he was, and was grateful that it turned out to be a safe place for him. They have been close friends ever since, but his time on the streets hardened him, and he now makes his living selling potions underground to pay for his and Damian's needs. He is known as the Fae Doctor by his clients, because he sells them the potions at a cheaper rate than human medicines, and often saves lives in the process. Gabriel was the one who convinced Damian to let Lisé stay with them, because of how the humans he had met in his first years on Earth had reminded him of her, and in turn Lisé convinced them both to let Andromeda stay- holding a similar sentiment to the Aliens as the Gabe had towards Humans.
