Yuyan is a fan Cryo character for Genshin Impact. She is an extremely renowned teacher despite still being on her early years into the career. The young teacher suffers from a curse which makes her suffer from selective amnesia, causing her to not have key memories of her past.

Personality
True to her name, Yuyan is an embodiment of smiles and joy. She is widely considered as the epitome of positivity due to her kind-hearted disposition. Yuyan finds greatness and appreciation for everything around her. Her happy and hopeful nature is the reason why she easily connects with the children she teaches.
Despite her positive dispostion, underneath the smiling face are remnants of despair slowly eating her up due to her amnesiac condition. Living in the fear that her latest memory might be the last happy one she'll remember, Yuyan often tries to cover her worries by treasuring every moment she's living through.
Trivia
- Her condition seems to fall under the category of a curse. Unfortunately, it seems that the curse is too powerful for the common folk to fix and requires more extensive research on.
- Yuyan's memories are a tricky subject, it's similar to a worn out parchment of paper whereas you can visibly read some passages, while the parts preceding are either blurred out or destroyed to the point the context is not recognizable anymore.
- She knows and likes a certain stuff, but doesn't know how it came to be. She can recognize and know some people, but will not remember how and where she met them. Sometimes there are instances where memories can return to her, but these moments are rare.
- There's a large gap within Yuyan where she has lost a years worth of memories apparently. According to her, she remember being a young girl at some point and suddenly 'waking up' as a fully-fledged lady during the next morning. Though there hasn't been any worse cases similar to this, the fact that this has happened made everything around Yuyan feel so surreal.
- A very particular thing that Yuyan enjoys with kids the most is how enthusiastic they are with story-telling. The way how they visualize certain details in an exaggerated manner resonates with her lack of sentimental meaning to her memories.
