"Oh, I really don't need help. I'm fine, so just don't worry about me."

Ku hasn't had the easiest time in life. She can't remember what her childhood was like. All she knows is that she woke up outside a casino one day with a pounding headache and a bad limp. No memories. Uncertain of her own age even.

The casino wasn't a small affair on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere though. It was a flashy centerpiece to a sprawling cityscape and was incredibly busy. How did no one notice she was here? She peaked her head around the corner and was met with a wall of people, all with their own lives and destinations. Then she understood. They simply didn't care.

The lady Ku saw before her shined with a brilliance that seemed to rival even the casino's lights. Ku was frozen in place.

"I'm Cher, by the way... Do you trust me?" Ku's head bobbed up and down automatically. Cher's hand gently reached out to grab Ku's and they began guiding her away from the square.

Eventually, in areas where the lights didn't reveal every small curve of Cher's face, where they sparkled  little less, Ku began to find her voice again. The two made some small talk, and Ku vaguely wondered where Cher was taking her, but she didn't bother to ask. She had nowhere better to be after all.

The two arrived at a quaint little house. It was pretty, a cream color with (blah, gottta finish writing later)
