Kamali's Previous apprentice who was rejected during her guardian ceremony, her body being broken apart at an anatomical level. Now she must use armor to stabilize her physical form and she hunts the crystals of other guardians to use their power.

Asher was Kamali's first apprentice, found as a viscling lost in the dark pines she doesn't remember much of her life before the guardians. She grew up among the guardians but the magic of the crystals is a finicky thing. You cannot force the magic to grant someone guardianship and it heavily relies on the intent of a being to accept them and grant them their element. Cyrus, the PPS Guardian of sight could see that Asher's guardianship would end in disaster and tried to warn others however Kamali chose to disregard it due to the hopes of his apprentice. Asher's ceremony was as disastrous as he warned it to be. The magic was too powerful for her and overwhelmed her, becoming corrupted by her arrogance and pride. It tore her physical body into billions of shadow particles and split her soul. An older Guardian would eventually create a set of armor that pulled her back together but only half of her soul was pulled into it. The corrupted half, filled with anger and desperation was quick to jump at the opportunity leaving the more apathetic half squandering in the void. Asher has a lot of stories so if you have any questions about her, feel free to ask. Ultimately when her armors on its her bad half. Her without armor is more transparent and ghost-like until Fenrir brings her back. Her rival is Vixen, and she often feels like Vixen was just a replacement for her however her good half knows that wasn't the viscets fault but rather Kamalis'. Their relationship is still strained though as it was Asher's corrupted half that killed Lupine, Vixen's mate and Randal's father.

Our lives are a constellation of events, strung together, glittering; the shapes only being seen from a distance.
