Cera has spent most of his life working for others. Either on a ship, on a planet, or someplace in between, Cera has always found himself underneath some, less than stellar bosses. While he has the strength to hold his own, he doesn't like the responsibility that comes with having to lead, so he kept to himself and did as told. But as he got older, and the bosses got bossier, he decided that maybe it was time for a change up.
And like a good mid-life crisis should start, he kicked it off with a poorly planned fight scene that ended up with a few dead and some neat new scars on his body. But hey, at least he had his freedom, right? Sans an eye. So off he went, wandering the galaxies, picking up odd jobs here and there. Never really cared much for making friends since he moved around so much. But yet again, his life took a turn when he first ran into the siblings
It started with Remy. She thought he was an easy target and tried to steal from him. If only she knew. After a long chase and a few spoken words, Cera found out about her history and how she was trying to fend for her and her brother. He felt oddly moved by her determination. She had the skills to be a good thief, hell maybe even a great thief. So he made her a deal, come with him and be his new 'apprentice', or he'll turn her over to the police. (He never would, him and police don't get along)
So now her, her brother and Cera are a makeshift family of sorts. He's teaching her all she needs to know to survive in the world, and he gets a lovable little family of his own that he never wanted.
