Dolly

Dolly was once a Raggedy Andy doll owned by a little boy a long, long time ago. But, as the boy grew older, he began to have questions about himself... It wasn't until he was quite old and retired that he realized: he was a she! This old woman, only recently realizing her identity, decided that to symbolize to herself that she was accepting who she truly was, she would turn her old Raggedy Andy doll into a Raggedy Ann, and renamed herself Edith.

When she did that, Dolly was born, naive and sweet, and trans just like Edith.

Now, Dolly loves to watch Edith make pastries, sew, and garden. Though Edith can't see or hear her, the two have grown close, and Edith calls her "the little brownie" or "the little fairy" who lives in her house, and will often leave out gifts for her.

When Edith first turned her Raggedy Andy into a Raggedy Ann, she wasn't very good at sewing, and ended up damaging the toy - but, with the power of love and the toy's connection to a cherub, the toy rejuvenated itself as a fully-fledged Raggedy Ann. To this day, Edith believes that the little fairy in her house repaired her doll, which isn't far from the truth- but little does she know, her care for the toy played just as large a part in Dolly's first revival into a Tender cherub.
