Profile

Esk 042

* Floral Esk tend to be more ornate in their markings. These types of markings would normally be seen in Uncommon Esk but since they are normal for flowery individuals, they are still ranked as Common (really they fall somewhere in between Common and Uncommon).

A poet at heart, John Lambe was a preacher who delivered elegant sermons and kept his faith close to his heart, although the church elders eventually grew restless with some of his doctrine (and his politics, which were anything but conservative). As money dwindled, a false rumor went around about the preacher, and he was dismissed from his congregation. Disgraced, he went on a wilderness retreat to be closer to God, but he never returned.

As an esk, Flos has a affectionate nature, and cares for his boundary, a field of wild anemones in a dark forest. His markings are reminiscent of a black sheep. He has a subtle smoky, nutty scent that's earthy and floral. White anemones symbolise sincerity and spirituality.

He shares a boundary with another esk, Acedia (087): http://toyhou.se/989138.esk-acedia Acedia's boundary is larger, covering the whole of the woods, while Flos's only includes his poppy field.

They share a dark history that neither remember, and attended the same ill-fated retreat.

~Lost Lamb Hymn~

Lost lambs wander
God's hand, gentle shepherds staff
Forest trail pleads

Where it leads, what keens
Ancient pull below what's seen
Answers lost to thee

Dear lord, why hath thou
forsaken me, Jesus had cried
I join Him in song

Falling to lame knees
tears and doubts beg not to fast
Scattered anemone

Grace comes in many ways
I bled love in every breath
God does not forget

We all have purpose.
Gentle comfort, angel's sweet gift
Some gain it in death.

Heaven is a glade
Love sleeps in every blade
Hear it in my hymn.
