Tygaol

Placid and endearing, Tygaol is the guardian of an enchanted forest in which all manner of flora and fauna exist together in impossible environments. He's lived within the forest for centuries, tending to an appropriate balance of life and death, free from outside interference. While he is not directly in charge of what survives and what passes on, he occasionally has a hand in saving species that would have failed without his care.

History

As a Primal Fragment, Tygaol was formed from his base element, rather than pulled from the limbo of spirits that is the Nowhere (where most Fragments belong). Because of this, his tie to the physical realm is much stronger than others of his kind, and he does not possess the shattered soul so common to them. Instead of offering up traits for his splinters, he sacrifices his flesh to create butterflies that help him pollinate and observe the far reaches of his forest. Like base Fragments, losing a butterfly will cost him what he sacrificed to make it and losing his physical self can be a greater threat than merely losing an attribute. With each strength, there is a weakness. 

Seemingly pulled from the earth itself, Gaol is set in his purpose as a watchful guardian for the utopia he was born to. He allows visitors and even welcomes scholars interested in the treasures hidden within. He'll be your tour guide and your mentor, but nothing that is a part of the forest may leave.

Extra

♦ Call him Gaol!!

♦ When his butterflies leave his flesh, they take it with them. This can leave wounds on his body that are usually easy for him to heal and watch over until the butterflies return. But with enough loss.... he could lose important parts of his body.

♦ The forest he watches over is called Eclair ('ees-lair')

♦ Loves to match his visitors to an animal he feels fits them. If you're shitty, he gives you a rock.

♦ Because of his extensive plant knowledge and elemental affinity for life, he makes an adept healer, if you can make the journey to him.

♦ His veins are roots, his blood linked to the creatures around him. Step in the forest, touch anything, and he will know.
