Rain grew up in a small northern town, the cold arctic like temperature left little room for fun and play where he was raised. His parents lived on a farm and from a young age he was quite interested in the scientific world, this is due mostly to noticing how when things cross pollinate a new kind of plant or even fruit and vegetables grew. Even with animals, though they weren't hyrbid creatures you could breed one type of the same genus to another and create something new and sometimes unique.
