When asked to decide a major by the end of their second year, many people have something in mind. Perhaps they change their mind later, switching gears and adding more years to their time in college, or perhaps they add another major or minor. On the other hand, many people find themselves taking anything that interests them, in the hopes that they find something they'd be willing to do beyond just being good at it.

Or perhaps they one thing they're interested in they don't want to monetize that much lest it sucks the joy out of their work and so they take a gap year intending to go on a a soul-searching journey to discover what they want to do except they feel like they've fucked up so bad by daring to drop out after years of overachieving that they become a recluse who buries themself in commission work and memories of the past because they've been instilled with a newfound fear of growing up at just 20 years old. This is that story.
