Gimmick

"Why are you hesitating? If you want it, get it! If you want to, do it! If it doesn't exist, create it! What's the point in life if you're not going to do what you want to?"

An androgynous mechanic/inventor who's frowned upon because of their "useless" inventions. They aren't useless, they just require more brain juice when trying to figure out how it works! Gimmick is well-known in the small town they live in, and they're able to make a decent living off of rewards and things they get after helping someone out. Although they may not look like it at first glance, Gimmick is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable when it comes to things with nuts, screws, and bolts. No one knows how they got their smarts; everyone just assumes that Gimmick read alot of books about machinery as a child.

The first invention they actually made was a cat robot, and Gimmick was estimated to be about 5 years old whenever he created Rusty. Gimmick creating small animal robots is a common occurrence in the town. Whenever they feel lonely, they create little robot friends to play with, and many people think that's the main reason why Gimmick started to invent and bring things to life, in hopes that it will bring them the love they always wanted. In celebration for their new animal friend, Gimmick creates a matching mask/pair of goggles corresponding to the animal (which means they have alot of masks).

Regardless of their sad past, Gimmick's demeanor is very childish, but they're not immature. They just love to have fun, and they're basically the epitome of the saying "Curiousity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back to life." They're also a pretty dumb smart person, but their cuteness will make up for whatever questionable thing they said/did (they look like a cinnamon roll, and they are a cinnamon roll). Gimmick does act on impulse 95% of the time...

When asked about their gender, they say "I'm just Gimmick." Gimmick doesn't really care about labels; any pronouns are fine to them. They just let anyone call them whatever they want, however they view them as. Which is how the nicknames "Mimi" and "Mick" came about. Those who view Gimmick more as a female call them "Mimi," and those who view Gimmick more as a male call them "Mick." Most people just call them Gimmick though, and some people even call them Ashe because of their hair being stained with soot/ash at the ends.
