Story

Hadi Jalil Ardalan, only called Ardalan, was an assassin during the Third Crusade (12th century), serving the brotherhood and it's Grand Master Al Mualim, until his true identity is revealed by Altair.
He was born in Masyaf to non assassin parents, but joined the brotherhood after their violent death with the age of  twelve, also with the aim to avenge himself upon the murderers.
He was trained and raised together with his two cousins Kadar and Malik A-Sayf, and quickly managed to become a high ranking assassin of the brotherhood. He mostly fulfills his orders without contradiction and always tries not to show emotions, also because of Al Mualim claiming that emotions like sadness or love are just a proof of weakness.

Later he is sent to kill the mysterious Reza, who is believed to work for the conspirational blackener Mazar-e Sharif. After fighting against Reza, she is revealed to be a woman and also learns about the true identity of the man she worked for.
Because of her lack of that knowledge, Ardalan spares her life and uses blood from one of her wounds to stain the white feather, which was the proof for him being successful at killing Reza in front of Al Mualim.
After him and Reza met again by chance while the assassination of Mazar-e Sharif, their fates start crossing again and again. Although Ardalan tries to stick tenaciously to Al Mualims rules of avoiding feelings, he slowly realizes that he can't deny being in love with Reza. After he fails on a special mission, he is seriously injured and barely manages to escape, Reza follows him and cares for him.
Al Mualim learns about the weakness of his assassin and expels him from the brotherhood. They continue their life together, even though it's a dangerous one. Hunted by both - soldiers and assassins.

After Altair becomes the Grand Master of the assassin's order, Ardalan returns to Masyaf and serves him and the order as a faithful assassin again.
Later he continues his life with Reza as his wife and  will have three sons with her.
