About
Erica runs the pathology department for Resurgam Hospital, and though she has faith in the ability of the pathologists beneath her, rarely a moment goes by that they're alone. It's not that much of an exaggeration to say she spends more time in the lab than at home, and she prefers it that way. However, it means that she often neglects things unrelated to her work -- the worst of all being her own health, both physically and mentally. Sick days are not in her dictionary, which has gotten her in trouble with both the chief of staff and her friends.

Relationships
 Jay Hartley[ best friend ]Her best friend is the head of surgery, Dr. Jay Hartley. They've worked together for a number of years, and she was won over with the same compassion that enamors his patients. He makes sure that she stops to take care of herself when work starts to overtake her life, and she makes sure he has an outlet when everyone puts their problems on him. They also have the tendency to rant to each other about the messes that are their love lives, as neither of them are particularly lucky in that aspect of life. Any meetings outside of work that aren't in public happen at her house; the constantly messy state of his house is enough to drive her bonkers. |
