Poppypaw is one of the sad cases of apprentices dying before they can recieve their warrior names. She was a noble clan cat born into a corrupt clan, and while trying to do the right thing is killed by her clan leader.

As an apprentice she struggled to connect with her fellow apprentices, including her littermate. She tried so hard to fit in, but it's hard to grow up in Riverclan.

As a starclan cat she still watches her living kin follow the cat who murdered her in secret, trying desperately to warn them of who she really is.
