trust me, i know life is scary.
Ayaka is a speedsolver, meaning it solves Rubik's cubes as fast as it can, as many times as it can. It does its best to make its talent obvious to the world, even going so far as to dress itself up in only the colors of a typical Rubik's cube (purples and pinks are NOT welcome!), and wearing a cube at its hip. Its fingers are almost constantly fidgeting with a cube, seemingly barely paying attention as it rapidly solves and scrambles it in its fingers while it focuses on other things. Cubes are not only its special interest, they're its passion!
As the Ultimate Speedsolver, Ayaka holds numerous world records across several different varieties of speedcubing. She doesn't just limit herself to cubes -- pyraminxes and dodecahedrons are fair game, too! She's well known for being able to solve cubes blindfolded, one-handed, and behind her back -- and she does it fast, too. It is the three-time champion of the World Cube Association Championship, being the only person in the world to win three times in a row.

Ayaka Nekoba has completely and utterly given up on fitting in. She is her one hundred percent authentic self at all times, and she really doesn't care what anyone else has to say about it. Wild and carefree, Ayaka has learned to do what Ayaka wants no matter what. She lives on her own schedule (teeth brushing? no thanks!), eats whatever she wants to eat (lots and lots of junk food), and acts however they want at any given time (and if that's to act like a cat in heat, so be it!). She's a bit of a hodgepodge of a person -- despite being clearly Japanese and carrying Japanese customs into her daily life, she doesn't much relate to Japanese culture as she didn't really grow up there. Instead, she's a sort of a personified cultural melting pot, someone who's never learned how to quite belong anywhere.
They often refer to themself as a "catgirl," which is completely different from the gender of "girl," thank you very much. This is accompanied with throwing in meows at the ends of their sentences and incorporating them into day-to-day speech. They also tend to wear black fingerless gloves with bright red cat paws on the palm, referring to their hands as their "paws."
Ayaka is wild at heart. It loves anything loud and bright, and as such, its a huge "party catgirl." It can often be seen clubbing the night away and barhopping all weekend long.
All this joyous being herself comes at a price, of course. Ayaka is a rather lonely person and has an incredibly hard time connecting with other people. Empathy is not its strongest suit, which often leads to it hurting others and not understanding how or why. At the end of the day, Ayaka longs to connect with someone on a deep level, but it refuses to sacrifice its sense of selfhood for this.
