Though holding a certain amount of fame gained from his literature work, both fiction and non-fiction, he is far from properly famous and well-known. Still he has managed to make himself a permanent presence in the parties for the rich and nobles who rather party with more common people. Still lavish, still extravagant but nothing overly ridiculous and luxurious as the Crème de la crème's parties.

Though mainly being an author Nathan is actually a skilled mage specializing in divination, time and place, but he dabbles with darker forms of magic. He tends to like it better since it's flashier, easier and more powerful, like a shortcut. In his youth he'd earn some money with fortune-telling in sleazy pubs. Usually with tarot cards since it is the form of divination that the audience eats up so easily. And it even didn't matter whether or not he was truthful. In fact, Nate realized very quickly, that what people wanted and what was real were hardly ever the same thing, and would focus more on showmanship than the truth. In these day he doesn't do magic for living anymore, but will gladly flick out his tarot deck or form a portal for a good reason.

Havu is a charming man with bright eyes and an easy smile. He has almost boyish curiosity towards anything and seems pretty naive and easy to fool. It’s an act though since Havu is actually as witty as one can be and is more than capable to take care of himself. He enjoys the thrill and mystery as much as the scandals and simple pleasures of life, and can easily be entertained by almost anything. Known for being lovely company Havu can navigate through any social situation and usually manage to get something useful out of it.

Since he likes good music, good poetry, good art, excellent wine and even more excellent company he sometimes gets caught up in some scandals and - well - problems. He tries to avoid them as much as he can, and through the years he has learnt to survive them and almost anything. Of course it’s not always nicely wrapped but he knows he can handle anything.

And it’s good things keep happening to him, since they are absolutely magnificent writing material!

But oh boy does he hold a grudge.
He has a good memory and often dwells on his and others' mistakes or bad decisions. It makes him gloomy and angry, bitter even, the side of Havu he doesn’t want anyone to see. He also can be calculative and manipulative and only focus on his goals, things that he also makes sure to hide behind the boyish charm.
