Born and raised in an underground fighting ring, Vris keeps those she hates a fair distance from her heart and those she respects even further. She dislikes waiting, preferring to do things as quickly as possible even if it may lead to more work for herself or others in the future. What she despises most of all, however, is being offered help when it is not requested. Her own stubborn pride ensures that she won't ask for help even when absolutely necessary and this has landed her in hot water on more than one occasion.
Behind closed doors and away from prying eyes, however, she can show a more gentle (and genuine) side of herself. At her very core Vris is a lonely cat who is desperately afraid of getting close to others and struggles with adapting to her newfound life of freedom.
Vris is all edges and trusts very little, being used to having to constantly watch her back in a world where letting down your guard could easily lead to an untimely end to one's career. Having been raised in a world where there was no such thing as talking things out, Vris tends to bite first and ask questions much, MUCH later. She has no patience for most things, and is too proud to admit when she may need help or not be knowledgeable in a subject (which is fairly often).
On the other hand those lucky(?) enough to earn her trust will find that she is more than willing to demonstrate said loyalty in a show of fangs and claws, which is really the only way she knows how. Despite appearances and her generally prickly nature Vris can be surprisingly protective of younger mothcats- kittens especially. Whether this is from a sense of genuine maternal(?) instinct, or regret that her own mother was unable to keep her from being taken away is truly anyone's guess because its not like she would admit it either way.

Born to a queen within the confines of an underground mothcat pitfighting ring, Vris knew nothing but violence and struggle from the moment she was able to open her eyes. When her mother's owner discovered Vris's longer than average, unretractable claws, she was immediately ripped away to be trained for the ring. Longer claws gave a longer (and deeper) reach, and she quickly grew to be a force to be reckoned with.

Another cat from the same fighting ring, the two escaped in the chaos of the police crackdown and have been together ever since. She finds his mannerisms aggravating if not outright infuriating and they've clashed more than a few times as a result. Despite the occasional spat, the two seem to be surprisingly... Close..?
