About
One of the many patrol gems, Taaffeite's attitude on the battlefield differs greatly to their tough exterior. While in battle, they are a fierce archer with an unquenchable thirst for vengence, but otherwise, they're often described as cold and harshly blunt (which makes them an adequate target for a certain gem's teasing...). Despite the others' perception of them as a rude gem, they do it for the sake of protecting their more vulnerable peers, though they don't want to admit that to anyone but one other gem.

Taffy often needs time to themselves to lay down on the grass and relieve stress. Otherwise, they take out their anger on the lunarians.
Story
Backstory
As a young gem, Taaffeite looked up to other patrollers, and once they were deemed ready to begin, they would be trained to fight. The use of a bow was partially their idea, as it was a safer and more efficient way to strike lunarians from afar (though they were trained in close combat as well). Their patrol partner was a gem around their age named Azurite, and the two made a good team. Their work was going well, that is, until Azurite was shattered by a lunarian before their eyes. They retrieved what they could of his shards and immediately ran back for cover.
Current
Taffy's former internal fire had faded since then, and they began to act out and take it out on other gems, with the exception of Azurite and a few others. Despite their friend being retired, they still visited him frequently, bringing him gifts and often conversing with him. Their attitude towards the others made them a target for Shomiokite's taunts, which is often met with extra retaliation.

- Taffy loves plants of all kinds, especially dandelions.
- They're only kind to a few gems, but get defensive quickly.
- There are a few things that can fluster them, one of which is giving them their favorite flower.
- They tire out very quickly after battles, and often isolate for a little bit to cool off.
