August

August was born cursed to totally normal parents. Despite the associated stigma with such circumstances, his parents were nothing but supportive of his curse and raised him to be kind despite it. August attempts to give other Nephians the benefit of the doubt, but it's still difficult to earn his unconditional trust. This is due in part to how his sister, Sunday, has been treated due to her own birth curse. Those August cares for, however, he tends to care for very deeply. Friendships are important to August, he just chooses his company very carefully.

These days, August lives in Catalis with his own half-apartment-half-store flower shop and takes up the appearance of a ditzy, airheaded owner (it's better, after all, if others don't have high expectations of him from the get go). Most of August's wares are handcrafted bouquets, but he also sells small gardening supplies and dried potpourri. Occasionally he'll host the wares of other Nephians, so it's not uncommon to find other handcrafted goods at his store. Support small businesses!

August is not particularly religious, but does not go out of his way to cause problems for the gods. Still, August tends to be wary of other religious Nephians and tries to keep his distance from them, if only because he's worried about being looked down over a curse that he had no say in. By proxy, August gravitates towards other cursed spinxyn, even those with some of the more ostracizing curses. He doesn't claim to know the circumstances behind someone's curse, and knows too well that sometimes one doesn't have a choice in them at all.
