Silvertooth

Angela Ward "Silvertooth" is your modern-day mercenary; while she titles herself an "independent private investigator", in all actuality... she does very little investigating. More often than not, she's just a set of hands-for-hire with questionable morals. Essentially trapped in Dedwell City by the established economic system and with few marketable skills to speak of, she relies entirely on presentation to sell herself to potential employers. "I'm fucking broke, please pay me to do something" isn't particularly convincing, but "I'm a badass tropey anti-hero with a mysterious past and a cool alias, hire me" ? Also not ludicrous marketing, but hey, she's working on it!

Even with her questionable self-advertisement, she manages to make rent most months; there's always something that needs done in Dedwell City. It's the commerce capital of the country, and such, the home of plenty of blue-to-white-collar-crime as well. Speaking of such... lately, there seems to have been an uptick in disappearances, untimely deaths, and black-market transacations, an overwhelming majority of which she's linked back to the behemoth of a tech monopoly that is Delta-Autoregressive(tm)(c)(inc). A representative of theirs has been showing up to a suspicious number of crime scenes, freezing out the press and her peers... there's money to be had in unearthing Delta-AR's skeletons, and she knows exactly where to start.
