Kaily Is a young porarian . I've had this character since i was 7 and this she has about that many years worth of stories and lore. Because of this I feel like it would be impossible to write it all down. But I feel like her character would lend itself very well to an ask blog kind of format. Please leave your comments and I might just reply to them!

Porarians are incredibly dragon like creatures of great adaptability , able to tap into the energy of the between to change form , telepathically communicate with other porarians and very rarely with years and years of experience , a healthy and well motivated porarian can teleport to a place in space and time deemed safer in times of destress.
her scails are shades of salmon , pink and coral. Her scails grow thicker and thus darker in Color in places she's taken damage before in anticipation of more . When she is panicked , her scails prickle and her sails frill and flush a brighter color as her body prepares for battle... Or apparently the vacume or whenever she needs another doctor's appointment. She has a large scale on the top of her head as is the mark of her whole species . Hers is a dark reddish magenta , and when healthy shines like a rough multi-layered gemstone . With it she can cast her reality splicing spells.
all porarians transformation ability is subject to a kind of 'muscle memory' .when a porarian is at rest they are almost constantly slightly changing in ways that might not be apparent until you compare pictures of them from different times. Either way it's always clearly recognizable as them , they still have the key proportions and feel. You can tell how a porarian is feeling by their overall shape and flow of their face and spine. You can tell if they are feeling pretty or handsome , you can tell if they are scared or sick or angry and many others as well from there appearance alone , but the porarians have very accute sences and can get more from this that just a surface view. The porarians call this 'aahhl' and claim that they can sence the 'soul energy' flow in a porarian , that's how they communicate most of their feelings up close and from up to 20 feet away. The way it's described is that the energy is like a stream and it carodes and shapes the sandbank and stones into the shape that aligns with it. , Leaving a visible fingerprint of where it was even after the creek has dried.of course it will never dry for a porarian , because that would mean they are dead or there soul gem has been distrupted somehow.
the porarians can control this partially. through practice and focus they can move the metephorical stream and their body's DNA is coded to respond to this.
Kaily has over 12 common face shapes and her tail and feet change often depending on what her needs are. Her body can become squat or leith and her scails can change up to 10 times an hour (not recommended) .
Her scails are thick and hollow with a thin layer of keratinous 'skin' and chromatophores on all of them . This "skin is lined with microscopic Piezoelectric crystal "nerves" with which she can feel touch just as well as with skin.
her scails can interlock together in such a way that a needle can not pass through while still remaining flexible or it can me smooth and thin like a snake .
She can even grow feathers ,fur , quills or tiny specialized hollow tubes used for display , expression or can inject a deadly toxin that causes you to mutate to death or just die from poison. Don't touch the prickly wiggle whiskers of doom.
Unfortunately the same thing that causes her amazing transforming abilities are her downfall. Kaily suffers from destabilized essence and thus needs to be very careful with her form so that she doesn't explode into a pile of meat spaghetti. She has 24/7 medical care on standby and her medical history is so long that they needed to invent a new encoder to compress it all into a file size that can be stored on the medical office computers.
( main) Personality: Kaily has a sporadic personally, her imago can change just as much as her face . This makes her an anigma to pin down. Great if you're on the run from the law, terrible if you're a princess trying to be diplomatic. She has lived both these lives and many more. She tends to have many separate friend groups who she moves between at her leasure. Acting wildly different depending on if she's fighting for the resistance or pretending to be a siren to scare sailors , or joining a band (again).
because of her unique position and past , she can tap into more power than her body alone can handle . She proves that no matter how small , you can do great things.
She can be skittish , and she can also be very brash and bold. She can spend a whole day doing something she's motivated to , and gets quite good at it , but tends to burn out after and can't find the motivation to do anything else for days. She is smart and headstrong but can be easily disorganized and overwhelmed and is prone to more blank outs than she cares to admit. She knows that she's not like other porarians , she knows she's different but has no idea just HOW special she is as she left chell and doesn't get much socializing in with others of her kind. She doesn't like people talking about it like it's the only thing interesting about her , she has so much more to her personality that just being called "the unpreened princess " is taken as a personal insult to her integrity.
It takes her a long time to come out of her shell around people , and who can blame her with all that she's been through. She tends to hide the fact that anythings wrong with her if she's hurting because she's afraid that it will ruin the carefully crafted reputation she's made for herself as a self sufficient individual.
She will only open up to one once they can prove to her that they think no differently of her just because she needs help sometimes , that that makes her no less strong or impressive , that she is thought of not as " the runt" but as "kaily" , a multidimensional ( both meriphoricaly and actually) individual. She suffers from a lot of self shame and internalized self hatred that she is fortunate to have very patient friends to help her with).
I mean , for goodness sakes she a teleporting magic shape shifting pink space dragon for gods sake , what business does she have with an inferiority complex?
Over time she's learned to see what's good about herself and gain more self confidence and self care . With the help of her close friends she can do anything.
