Braveheart gained his appearance based around stories his child, Theodore, would be told by his father, a Coal Miner. The locket on his chest is a mimic of one that Theo wore around his own neck, a picture of him and his father on a clear day enjoying a picnic.

Theo being a sick child meant that he spent many hours alone, yet hidden away from wandering eyes Braveheart stayed by his side through thick and thin. Mimicking the appearance of a soot-covered canary in miner's clothes, Braveheart would be the hero centered around his father's often exaggerated tales of monsters within the cavern and gold and crystals as wide as the sky could see. Thanks to this, Braveheart developed a talent for acting and a craving for real adventure. As Theo grew older and began to spend more time with his father, friends, and outside the house, it seemed like Braveheart's companionship was no longer needed.

While it hurt to have to leave behind his friend of so many years, Braveheart was pleased to find out that the Jollybean was not forgotten. On visits to his friend's dreams as Theo became older, Braveheart found out that Theo had become a published author. His popular story? The Tales of Braveheart, a fantasy novel about a rough and tumble adventurer who fought with a picaxe alongside his pet canary.

Braveheart now lives his own wild journey as the founder of the Crane Wings Corps, an adventure group dedicated to discovering all that Midviel has to offer. Starting out as just him in a small cabin in the woods, Braveheart seeks other rough and tumble adventures to join him as he travels the world.
