About
Opalwing is one of the main character of Defying Stars. She is first introduced as a background character when Hawkpaw spends his first gathering, and later becomes very important when she joins LakeClan as a founder along with Dustfall. She is known to be very loyal to Hawkmoon and to loathe StarClan's traditions despite her ancestor being the one and only Moonstar, first leader of RiverClan and creator of the five Clans. Opalwing is also the very first official LakeClan leader and the cat who led the Clan to its own new territory.

In overall, Opalwing is a very brave she-cat with ambitions and principles. She's very loyal to LakeClan and tends to be quite short-tempered when cats disagree with her. But she's still very sweet with the cats she loves and would do whatever it takes to protect them. As she grows older, Opalstar becomes wiser and learns how to behave to become the leader LakeClan deserves.

Description
- Opalwing is a blue-coated cat with dark blue eyes and dark paws.
- When she leaves the Clans territory to take the lead of LakeClan, her sister, Crystalheart, gives her a necklace made with herbs and a piece of diamond which comes from the Moonstone as a leader symbol to offset the fact that she won't have her 9 lives.
