Relationship with Raith: While there's a large potential for Alister and Raith to dislike each other, Alister tries really hard to get along with his adopted brother. For as much bitterness as he sometimes feels about how much their mother clearly prefers Raith, he also understands that Raith has had a rough life up to this point and deserves a big brother looking out for him. Plus in his heart, he hopes that by showing Michael he can be a doting brother, it will endear their mother to him more. Cause him to share some of that affection and care he showers on Raith with him as well.

As for his relationship with Raith, while Raith is a bit standoffish towards Alister at first, he does warm towards him with time. Having an older brother to look up to and do things with is a nice change of pace. For Alister, Raith provides a family member closer to his own age he can spend time with. A playmate he can be the one suggesting activites to, since with Valen, Alister typically would defer to what he wanted to do when they would hang out.

- Due to the extreme malnutirtion he suffered in vitro, Alister has a compromised immune system that he struggles with throughout his life. As a child, he was very prone to illness, sometimes to the point he would have to be hospitalized when his health got bad enough. It gets better as he ages, but he ends up with a weaker constitution in general. Tiring easy, the first to get sick amonst his peer group. He tries to remain strong in the face of it, but it's yet another thing he can't help but feel depressed about.
