Likes
  • The feeling of being in control.
  • Fancy and, more likely than not, useless stuff. The shinier, the better.
  • Acoustic music. Reminds her of her parents.
  • Receiving affection, or simply having people pay attention to her.
  • Soft fabrics. They're just too comfortable and feel great against her skin.
Dislikes
  • Loneliness. She understands handling her attitude isn't exactly an easy task, but she completely despises being alone.
  • Plainness. Stuff that's not interesting enough for her to look at.
  • Not getting the attention she deserves.
  • Reading. Just no.
  • Bad fashion sense. Her staring (and disgusted expression) will be obvious.

PERSONALITY

POSITIVE

⋆Spirited

She is always enthusiastic about everything she and her fraction accomplish. Exploring new areas, possibly conquering them for her people and simply watching as her recruits grow stronger is always a huge excitement to the leader.

⋆Aspiring

Sybil's nature is characterized by her strong determination. It may not be a simple task, but she aspires to bring the demons to her team, making overthrowing the Entities a much easier job.

⋆Confident

Hardly does Sybil ever feel like she’s unable to achieve anything she wishes for. She trusts her own abilities when it comes to fighting and leadership, so she always enters the battlefield with a positive mindset.

⋆Passionate

She strongly believes that the world will be a better place for everyone when she manages to successfully put her plans into action. That's why she will do everything in her power in order to make people become the masters of their own life and destiny.

NEUTRAL

⋆Competitive

Sybil always strives to work harder and accomplish the most things in the shortest amount of time. Naturally, she wants to stay above everyone else, showing that she is indeed better than your regular Angel.

⋆Voluptuous

This girl is likely to indulge herself in various excessive luxury items even though she barely sees any use for them. Their sole purpose is to make her feel like a princess, something she feels can only be done by showing off various pricey articles to the rest of the world.

⋆Surprising

Due to her energetic personality, her actions might sometimes be more than unpredictable. Even though she might act almighty most of the times, she also often shows her care about her fellow Angels, which she watches over from her Leader position.

⋆Subjective

She holds a grudge on the demons ever since her friendship with their current leader, Veltis, ended. It's not like she completely hates every single one of them just for being a demon, but she simply can't accept them trusting the Deities so blindly, in her eyes, seem extremely shady. Because of that, being near a Demon makes her feel really uncomfortable.

NEGATIVE

⋆Bossy

She finds pleasure in ordering people around, simply because it makes her feel like royalty. Feeling like she has the control over someone else is what fuels her everyday, however, this has made her lose many friendships she's had throughout her life.

⋆Compulsive

Once Sybil sets her mind on something, a task or a certain goal, it's close to impossible to change her mind about it. She will definitely go through the trouble of finishing when her attention is already fixated onto it.

⋆Envious

Since she was a young Angel, Sybil always desired to have everything a princess would have: the luxury and fame, all the cute and sparkly toys, glittering gems, anything one could imagine a princess would possess. This Desire is still strong in the present, where her wish to possess everything still exists.

⋆Weak-willed

It wasn't hard to make Sybil believe that the Deities were suspicious, possibly manipulating every single existing creature to live accordingly to what they desired. All it took was a small rumor to lead her into creating Mestinum and not even for a second was there doubt about the veracity of the ongoing gossip.

Bio

Born in the far west of Malterrus, nearing the border, Sybil lived a somewhat simple life along with her parents. Their house was situated in a small town in one of the less industrial areas of the ANGELS’ country and one of the closest to the Neutral Area.
While her family was somewhat poor, they still lived a pretty comfortable life. Sybil's parents worked hard as traveling musicians to give the small girl an enjoyable childhood. However, this caused them to be away from home most of the time instead of being together with their child. Because of that, little Sybil often spent time outside with kids her age.

Nonetheless, not everyone in Sybil's family was as poor as her parents were. One of her aunts, Rehael, was rather rich and would visit the Verchiel household from time to time, bringing over some gifts for the youngest to enjoy, especially fairytale books which told stories about the lives of many princesses. Being the hyperactive child she was, Sybil wasn't all that interested in wasting time reading them herself, but she found out listening to her aunt reading them out loud for her was much more enjoyable and made her wish to become one of them: a princess who would live surrounded by all kinds of sparkly things, wear beautiful dresses and own a castle for herself. Sybil started to try acting as royalty around those kids who she often played with. That however backfired and her playground buddies didn't like how she thought of herself as better than them. Eventually, they slowly lost interest in playing with her, leaving Sybil once again by herself.

After some time, her Aunt noticed Sybil wasn't going outside as much as she used to and constantly seemed to be in a bad mood. Even the spark in her eyes when she listened to the stories had faded away. Seeing this, the older lady decided to take action and go talk with her parents. Rehael mentioned the possibility of taking the kid to her house over in the Neutral Area, where both ANGELS and DEMONS resided together. This would give her a better life, also considering there were plenty of other kids around the same age as Sybil, who she could play and be friends with.

Sybil's parents were quick to accept Rehael's offer. Seeing how she was reliable enough to take care of their precious child and she, without a doubt, would have a better education by having a responsible adult present in her life there. Needless to say, the young ANGEL didn't even think twice when asked if she wanted to go live with her aunt. Finally, an adequate lifestyle for a future princess!

Upon arriving in the Neutral Area, the kid was met with a totally different scenery than she was used to. Huge skyscrapers, endless paved streets and most importantly-

“WHOA, IS THAT A SHOPPING MALL!?” Sybil screamed out of excitement while pointing at an enormous building some blocks further away. Blinded by the sunny weather, it seemed to radiate a holy aura from it.

A small chuckle was heard coming from the older ANGEL. It was weird to see how something so ordinary to her could be this incredibly exciting to someone else. Seeing how thrilled her niece was about exploring the town, Rehael decided to take a small detour before actually going back home. Every single detail, from the huge amount of people walking by, to the contrast in the structure of the buildings fascinated young Sybil. Before she could run off into one of the clothing shops, she was pulled back by her collar.

“Not now, sweetie. It’s getting late and you should also get to know your new house!”

The whole way back to Rehael’s place, Sybil had the biggest pout on her lips. Obviously, she’d have more time to walk around town and discover everything it had to offer another day, but this kid sure was impatient. Everything looked so much prettier than back at her hometown and she couldn't wait to fully explore everything.

The short blonde’s mood completely changed as soon as she set her eyes on the new house she’d be living in for Deities know how long. Just by looking at it from the outside, it was a much bigger and more elegant construction than her parents’. Bouncing on her heels, Sybil almost couldn’t wait for her relative to completely unlock the front door and pretty much pushed her out of the way so she could get inside. The interior was prettier than she had previously pictured in her mind: Sparkly decorations, soft rugs, even electronics she had never seen in her life before. If this wasn’t a true princess’ lifestyle, she didn’t know what was.

A few years later, Sybil had gotten more used to living in a more metropolitan area, despite everything still feeling a bit dreamy. The twelve years old girl had her hand gripping tightly on the door handle. This would be her first time exploring the town on her own and her heart was hammering in her chest out of exhilaration. Never before had she gone on a walk by herself, but considering she was older now, her aunt had given her permission to do so. Of course she would definitely not let this opportunity go to waste.

Tiny legs automatically brought the girl past the main streets she was so used to and into an area where not many people went to, not even herself. It's not like it was dangerous, it just wasn't all that interesting. That being said, why was Sybil even walking around there? The only reason was that such a place looked like it came straight out of one of the fairytales she loved, especially a certain old-looking building hidden in a narrow alleyway. Seemed like some kind of mythical creature would magically fly out of the window at any time.

Curiousity got the best of the youngster, who recklessly opened the creaky doors and stepped into the establishment, only to find endless shelves filled with the most diverse books. Honestly, it was a bit of a turn down, but hopefully she'd be able to find more stories about royalty life in this place.

Blonde locks swayed behind her as Sybil walked down the long corridors, examining the tall wooden shelves and looking for the most colorful covers. All in hopes of finding something she'd enjoy listening from the only adult she was close to in that place. But how would she know a book would be worth bringing home if she didn't have the patience to read them herself? Not even something as short as the synopsis? If luck was on the girl's side, she could find someone who could help her with that.

After wandering around the library for a while, hugging a few books against her chest, she was pretty much convinced there wasn't any other living creature besides her inside that building. As she was about to drop the books on the counter and leave without them, she noticed someone sitting on the opposite side totally immersed in reading. The cover wasn't visible from where the ANGEL stood, so she had no idea what it could be about.

“Of course!” Sybil thought to herself. “Someone has to work here!”

The girl simply stared at the white-haired young DEMON in front of her, waiting for him to notice her presence. A few seconds passed in silence and it was clear she would have to do something about this. What kind of person wouldn't pay attention to their surroundings while working?

“Ahem!” Sybil cleared her throat with an exaggerated noise. “You work here, right?”

A small ‘ah’ was the only thing she heard coming from the boy for a little while. He didn't seem very good at communicating.

“Yes, I work here.” He said before pointing at the books Sybil had left on the counter. “Are these all the books you want to borrow?”

“I'm not sure if I want to borrow them yet. I don't even know what they're about.” The younger one said matter-of-factly as she pushed the books slightly forward towards the DEMON. “Can you read them for me?”

The petite girl noticed how conflicted the expression on the male's face looked, but he soon opened his mouth to reply.

“Sure, there’s a place in the back of the room where we can sit more comfortably if you like. What book do you want me to read for you?”

If felt too much like a déjà vu. Sybil sat next to Veltis as he read one of the books she had chosen from the library out loud. However, not even his soothing voice was enough to pull her attention back to the story. All she could think about was the rebellion. It was obvious to her that the Deities weren't as good as everyone believed them to be. How naïve can you be to trust someone you've never even seen, to the point of supporting them so blindly?

“Veltis.” The blonde interrupted the DEMON'S reading, whose crimson red eyes looked up from the writings only to find his friend looking at him with the most intense expression he had even seen on her.

“Why don't you join the Rebellion with me?”

Her best friend's answer, however, wasn't the one she was expecting.

“Join the Rebellion? Why would I- no, why would YOU even want to join them?”

Undoubtedly, having this conversation would be rather difficult. The ANGEL had seen Veltis reading books about the DEITIES before so she figured he would be on their side, but she was determined to change this.

“Don’t you feel like the DEITIES are just being... lazy? They aren’t doing anything, we have never even seen them! All we know is what that weirdo who calls himself the REPRESENTATIVE tells us! For all we know, everything that comes from his mouth could be lies!”

“Why would he even do that? What would he gain from lying to us?”

What kind of question was that!? The advantages of lying to all the habitants of this world were obvious in Sybil's head.

“Making us his slaves! We can’t let him or those ‘oh so mighty’ DEITIES order us around anymore! I totally agree with those rumours! They are pretty much useless! We don’t need some made up figures to order us around or tell us how to live our lives!”

The girl's body was trembling with rage at this point. Why couldn't Veltis see how trusting those Entities made little to no sense? All Sybil wanted was to have her best friend join her in this fight for their freedom.

“Why do you hate the DEITIES so deeply?”

So that's how it was going to be. There was nothing she could say that would convince Veltis to join her. Her blue eyes were brimming with tears, but she held them back. Showing weakness wasn't an option here.

“Why do you revere them so highly?”

A pause. Sybil's heart wanted to believe this was a sign her DEMON friend, the only one she truly cherished and who she treated as equals, was changing his mind. But she knew better than to trust her heart.

“I’m not going to join you.”

The girl abruptly stood up, nearly letting the chair she was previously sitting on fall to the floor.

“Then, you better hope those damn DEITIES protect you.”

HOBBIES.

⋆ Singing. Her parents would often practice playing their guitar and warm up their voice before they left for work and Sybil loved watching them and singing along. It was one of the few moments when they were all together and happy.

⋆ Listening to the radio. For her, it has such conventional functions. Music for her to sing along, listening to stories and news to pass time. It never gets lonely with a radio!

⋆ Reorganizing her room. Everytime she gets bored of how it looks, she will change the placement of the decorations until she's contented. Most of the times it will look exactly the same as before, but just moving stuff around is fun.

MISC.

⋆ Every morning, Sybil spends around an hour braiding her hair and putting them in side buns.

⋆ Fast food is a big no. A princess never eats greasy processed foods! That’s commoner’s dirt!

⋆ Sybil is actually dyslexic, which causes her reading skills to be poor. Not having been able to attend elementary school for a while and her parents missing presence in her early childhood have also been the cause for her delayed learning pattern.

⋆ Sybil still wants to be a princess, but tries not to act like one so much, since she's scared of people leaving her again.

⋆ She is constantly seen trying to fix her hair. Her whole self-esteem is based on her blond locks. If it looks pretty, nothing else matters.
