Well......at least it was. Not only did SS✰001 catch the eyes of travelers, it eventually also caught the eye of space's many scoundrels.
Now it's more like a motel with a bar, overrun by killers and criminals; assassins, bounty hunters, thieves, smugglers, you name it!
Star Stop is still a renowned resort chain, but SS✰001 has now long been abandoned by its founders.

There is a silence in your chest. Are you breathing? Is your heart beating?

You scramble to catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror.
There, you see a cartoonishly heart-shaped hole located where the real one once was.
Before you can question anything, two unusual people step through the glass!
A pair of self-proclaimed "matchmakers", who explain that you need to find a partner by Valentine's Day, lest your heart be lost forever.
And to top it all off, it turns out you've been cursed...all because they lost a bet?!
With two weeks left until your unruly demise, how will you find love?
You chalk this up to being a lengthy dream but as Vday approaches, the world around you gets stranger.

- Hart is the protagonist/player! Gender would be interchangeable depending on whatever you want to play as.
They are a regular human, age 24, and a hopeless romantic who's never dated anyone in their life.
- Out of the two matchmakers, you will select one of them to aid you and the other will act as narrator.
- Everyone in this folder would technically be a romanceable option aside from the matchmakers and Amour
If this were a real game, then Amour would be post-game unlockable & Caradoc/Vevina would be a secret route

They are unaware of this until the end, when it is revealed that they have an undiagnosed congenital heart issue.
The Earth they are on is an alternate reality in which only immortals reside.
At first they do truly think they're dreaming, hence why they don't treat this as unusual.
The aforementioned "bet" had to do with whether or not Hart would find love before they died.
The two matchmakers bet yes, while Amour, the goddess of love, bet no.
She didn't bet no because she didn't believe in them, but because she knew what would happen.
Foreseeing the outcome, she reached out to the two most love-driven immortals she could find.
Amour knew they would bet yes, and she would then utilize this to bargain for pity with the god of death.
Once the duo witnessed Hart's passing, they protested so loudly the whole realm could hear it.
The real bet was then formulated between Amour and the goddess of death, Grimrose.
Amour had planned to do this from the start, but didn't have enough of an argument to bargain for the life of a single human.
While mortal souls are under the jurisdiction of gods, the ones that sit between life and death are a bit more complicated.
The result of this bet could not be foreseen and was now out of both of these gods' hands.
Thus in their current state, if Hart does find love, she will grant them another chance at life.
If they don't...well. It won't be pretty.

Faunacorpus is a collaborative story between friends--developed by myself, NEROJIRO, HeraDevil, Atomikon, Airzyre, and xiaoo.
What you and I know of the world currently is a mere chapter in the first few pages of a history book; by the year XX40, Earth has evolved into a completely different reality -- countries have risen, fallen, and risen again in several phases of revolution, transition, and unification. One large region in particular, Aezia, has been split into several districts, each with its own culture, climate, and leadership. The overall atmosphere of Aezia’s major districts is oriental cyberpunk, but with less emphasis on cyborgs/AI. Technology is incredibly ultramodern, as most major cities have access to advanced weaponry, futuristic vehicles, and medicine that challenges even science itself. Outside of the metropolitan areas, natural sites such as forests, lakes, and mountains flourish, untouched by the flashy sophistication of neo-civilization.
Within Aezia’s districts, there are legions working behind the scenes. Although they are not the official wielders of power, their underground influence is strong enough to rival the corrupt legislators and jurisdiction. These legions situate themselves within different parts of Aezia and spread out over districts they’ve claimed. Their goal? To have as much territory as possible. Territory means more resources, seeing as each district comes with its own technology, plant/animal resources, doctors/scientists, associates, and black market customers. Generally, each legion’s motive is to ultimately have the most control and influence over the production and distribution of faunacorpus.
Faunacorpus, or FCP, is a drug prominent all over Aezia. At its core, it allows the user to gain temporary strength and speed boosts. However, using the Wildewyn plant and animal DNA, human bodily modifications have been made possible using the most powerful legions’ secret formulas. Each organization specialized doctors who are able to research and produce faunacorpus using the proper elements to alter the drug, granting the users tangible and functional animal parts as well as even more powerful abilities based on said animal (animal features are a telltale sign that someone is associated with a legion).
Currently, the top six legions in Aezia are J1N-DO, 2OU-YU, F3NGHU-NG, B4I-ZE, T5UCHIG-MO, and LO-N6GUI (the numbers are determined through district number, not power ranking); they are the most active when it comes to turf wars, faunacorpus modification, and district patrolling. Each has its own unique base district, history, code, and faunacorpus abilities. Which will you join?
