Knight of the crown and personal knight to the princess. Haoran serves the monarchy with as much deference it demands from him, though he's only playing his part for as long as it takes to seize the throne himself. He recognizes his goals aren't unique-- with a monarchy based on bloodshed, it's legacy is upheld by a noble class all too eager to engage in violence for the sake of succession. Unlike everyone else, though, his victory is almost guaranteed. Playing guard to the princess is just one step away from playing executioner, after all.

Navigating high society is all about knowing whose eyes are on you and what to say to preform for that audience, and Haoran is no stranger to doing so. With a courteous and unassuming demeanor, his status as a healer often presents him as a gentle knight, his sword more an accessory than a weapon. Few know how quick he actually is to draw his blade.

Despite it all, he's much closer with his princess than he ever intended to be. It was supposed to be an elaborate masquerade, with carefully set masks and even more carefully concealed swords. He doesn't know when it had started crumbling.

The devotion stops being a ruse.

Until all is left is the two of them in an empty ballroom.

Is capable of powerful healing, able to completely heal himself or someone else from the brink of death within seconds. Multiple times, if necessary. Any disease, any wound, any ailment rooted in an injury to the physical body can be fully healed by him. His healing is only limited by how much his magic has been exhausted at a given point in time.

Passively, his healing protects him from mostly all illnesses. While his healing doesn't prevent him from feeling pain, his healing works too fast for him to notice most injuries. To heal other people, all he requires is physical touch. The more skin contact there is, the more healing he's able to impart.

When his magic is amplified by the crown, his healing makes him essentially unkillable.
