Myta

Goddess of various things. Most commonly associated with:

• Knowledge
• Mercy

Myta (my-tuh) is one of the twin goddesses of Teyem. Created humanity and blessed them with both knowledge and compassion. Appears as a long white serpent with many arms, and three glowing cyan eyes.

In the argument with her sister over the fate of human souls, Myta's stance was that every life was unique and snuffing them out is a tragedy. Death is an unecessary cruelty and the biggest cause of suffering in the world. She argued against true permanent death and forced Lysua to create her own afterlife.

Those who follow Myta will be brought to a peaceful afterlife after passing on and paying penance for the sins in their life.

Unlike her sister, Myta spends most of her time managing the afterlife she has created for her followers. While she does not promise a perfect utopia free of sadness, she tries her best to be available to those who have passed on and offer comfort and guidance. She argues for mercy and forgiveness, reminding her followers that all pain is temporary and can be moved past.
