Aimer Arquette

This confidence (+) stems from an understanding they had to realize at a young age; that between the twins, they have very distinct traits they must use to their advantage. A social (+) people’s person, the ever so charismatic (+) Aimer finds that they can easily get what they need out of people with a few bats of their eyes and a smile. They are unafraid of approaching strangers, whether it be for information or for entertainment, they lack the general sense of boundaries that often prevents people from conversing.

Such boldness does not come without narcissism (-) , often getting caught up in what they have instead of what they lack, they have little to say badly of themselves. Aimer is only able to act as they do because they lack the understanding of social mannerisms and boundaries. At their core they are an apathetic (-) person unable to empathize with anyone aside from Aimiette. Gullible (-) at times to say the least, Aimer may cover up an empty mind with a sly smile and charming nature but at their core is nowhere close to the mental prowess of their twin, often taking information in as is without critically considering if it was true or not.

Without their twins, they feel a sense of anxiety (-) often whenever they’re met with a challenge the other would typically be able to do easily. Living to now fill their role, they find that their natural aptitude for intelligence and reasoning is close to none. Well meaning (+) in the end, Aimer does not have ill will towards the people they choose to bother and actually has the best intentions for everyone in mind. When speaking bluntly or slipping into unwelcomed conversations, they do it without the understanding that they were interrupting.

Wanting to living a life without doubt, Aimer understands their lack of empathy causes troubles, but also understands this can only be improved by asking questions and communicating. Those who take the time for them to explain, Aimer can only be grateful towards.

Together was the natural fact for Aimer. From the very start he was together with Aimiette, whether it be exploring the streets of Paris together with her as children to causing trouble with her in primary giving teachers migraines. Together they made up for what the other lacked and were so inseparable, they were almost a single entity. Aimiette gifted with intelligence and reasoning, Aimer with a healthy dexerious body fit enough to carry out the little schemes the twins concocted.

Together they were given away. The pair’s unique antics having caught the eyes of a theater troupe, the Arquette couple were given the offer to take the twins off their hands in return for a hand towards the couple’s debt. A loving couple who wouldn’t simply trade away their children for the world, the offer was rejected without another word and the four stayed a loving family- Was what the twins had expected. However- The couple desperate enough to take the offer, the 9 year old twins then found themselves departed from their familiar world with little aside from each other.

The Theater Troupe soon established their roles. Aimiette the brains and control center, Aimer the one who carried out the plans. Twins identical enough to be the same person, they’ll play the same role. Aimiette lacked the stamina to stay on stage for long or do any bold fighting scenes, Aimer lacked the aptitude for changing roles as an actor and memorizing lines. With a strong sense of self identity, Aimer can only be himself. Yet this worked just fine. Perfectly even. With well timed switches and scene changes, the twins seamlessly played a single actor without any troupe. They acted simultaneously without fault. While it may seem redundant to expend two people to play a single person, the twin’s talent for portraying such interesting characters was apparent and finding talent even split among two people was worth nurturing.

Coming to the age of 18, the Arquette twins soon planned to depart their acting career in pursuit of travel. Cushiony life in the limelight, they didn’t have much to complain about but it was a life that they were handed to. Old enough to go out without a guardian and legalities could be handled without a hitch. Their fellow actors in the troupe were sad to see them go but they weren't going to stop them either, the abandoned kids brought into the troupe grew into competent self reliant adults. Bright faces between them, packing and preparing for their trip, Aimer was ready to follow Aimiette to whatever adventure she had planned for the two of them. Starting a new chapter but another one together- was what Aimer had expected. The night before their departure, Aimiette went missing.

Aimer still left the next morning as planned but set off from then on to not live a life with Aimiette but one in search of her. He makes the conscious decision to uphold her identity, allowing her to live through him for the life they should both be experiencing together. For their whole acting career, they had performed as a single person- there was no issue in Aimer’s mind to do the same moving forward. He would be both himself and Aimiette for the sake of keeping the Arquette Twins together. Together was the way they’d always been. Together was the natural fact.

Now 22, coming to Meteor City, the hub of new and upcoming technology and life, Aimer chooses to join the Detective Agency in hopes of it’s connection towards anomalies being useful in his search for Aimiette. And if it were to happen that he could connect a few other lost souls and severed threads along the way, he’d be satisfied with the work. To reunite people torn apart, in seeing that gives Aimer hope for the same to happen for him.
