Rae's headstrong, she’s quite independent and likes being in charge. She’s competitive, and hates big show-offs (though she has been know to gloat from time to time), she’s a team player, and helps to make her swim team strong. About
Background
Rae’s always loved the ocean, ever since she was little. Her family moved to their beachside house when Rae was 5, and she’s been swimming for even longer. She’s always been a little to herself, wanting to be independent and do things her own way. She proved to be quite a nuisance we had she just joined the swim team, but has grown to be tight-knit with the other team members over the years. Although she loves swimming, she wants to be a marine biologist when she’s older. Helping animals has always been a passion, and she wants to work specifically with sea turtles.
Reef
Reef was brought into the turtle-rescue center when he was an adolescent, due to him being hit by a boat. He’s healed now, but he has bubble-butt syndrome, which makes him incapable of diving, thus he lives at the the turtle-rescue center permanently. He came in the same day Rae started volunteering there, and she got to be part of the rescue team that brought him in. She’s cared for him ever since, and she’s become his primary caretaker. She’ll spend hours sitting there with him while doing her homework, and she loves to help feed him.
Relationships
Val - friend / crush
Val is a merrowpup who also interns at the animal rescue center. She’s a vet, and through her mermaid side, she can slightly sense and sway other’s feelings. In the beginning Raeni thought Val was using said magic to make Rae love her, but this was never the case. Rae is just a gay disaster.
