Madeleine declared a pact with Alyssia when she was younger, though her ultimate goal has changed over time. Once both of her parents died and she lost contact with the Chamber family, her safety was threatened and she was nearly killed by one of her distant relatives who was after the Godfrey's wealth (themes strongly alike to Integra Hellsing's childhood), where she was saved in a fit of desparation by a mysterious figure - this being Madeleine. She is a demon of high ranking, much like Sebastian and Claude, though she is not as powerful as either of them, but would cut it fairly close in a fight. She acts like Alyssia's nanny, seeing as the girl never had much of a parental figure in her early life due to her parents travelling so often and leaving Alyssia in the care of the house staff, and does not mind filling this role should she need someone to protect her.
