Shani means a wonderful woman. She was born second to her brother and her mother wished for them to have similar names. At least in sound and not necessarily in meaning. She could either remember what her name means and represents or she could live up to it, prove that she was indeed a wonderful woman- er, lioness. The name was mostly chosen to be similar to Shomari but the meaning was also nice. While she doesn't exactly inspire delight or admiration, she could be viewed as marvelous. She could be seen as extraordinary, remarkable even- especially after her latest feat of finding her brother.
