mungu wa roho is her official role which translates to god of spirits. As the mungu wa roho, it is her job to ferry the souls of the dead to the afterlife and ensure souls remain put once they've been lead to their destination. Unlike the other deities, this role was not destined for her upon her creation but rather bestowed upon her when she herself died. It's unsure how souls were watched before she was assigned this role. It's been rumored that she was the first lion to die and therefore the first soul to depart the body.
When a lion dies, it's soul wanders about stuck between the physical and spiritual world. Sometimes they find their own way to her or even to their destination in the afterlife. Usually she has to wander around herself to find wayward spirits and lead them in the right direction. Despite being a neutral force between the two afterworlds, she resides in Nchi ya Waliopotea with her mate, Aldilu.

Nefisi translates to soul in Amharic. Her birth name is forgotten. This name was given to her shortly after death along with her new role to oversee those who have died. The god of spirits as she would be called. Basically a ferryman for souls that need to be taken to the afterlife. Whether she was given this name because she was lacking a body herself leaving only her soul, because she was now a form of intellectual energy, or because she is currently the embodiment of a soul departed was unsure. Regardless the reason, it was what she went by. It was the only name she knew for herself.
