Personality
-
Margarita is most commonly seen with a tired, frowning expression (and for good reason). While she's always been a bit catty, as well as stubborn as an ox, she's grown more cold and skeptical since her husband left her. Nevertheless, she's a pretty friendly person, and can be rather teasing and sweet when you're in her good favors. To her enemies, however, beware--this girl is not someone you want to mess with. She's a bit exhausted, but she has plenty of spunk. Sometimes she likes to pretend she's not so grown up and let loose for a while.

Profile
A single mother who struggled to raise her child after her husband ran during her pregnancy. She felt like the fun life she had been promised was stolen away from her, but learned to love the lot life gave her.
Backstory
Margarita spent her early years very happy. She danced in expensive, gorgeous outfits, laughed loudly and proudly, and lived life to the fullest. She fell in love with a man who seemed very responsible, and they dated for a solid 5 years until they got married during a beautiful wedding ceremony. A year later, when she was 25, Margarita had her son, Quien. That day, her husband fled, never to return. Apparently he wasn't as responsible as she made him out to be.
She was left alone dejected, with a newborn son she could hardly raise by herself, needing money to support them both but without the time to work. She was understandably upset, but also incredibly, incredibly bitter. She has never attempted to find out the whereabouts of her lost husband, and she hopes she never does.
Raising her newborn son Quien was incredibly difficult for her, especially finding a job with enough money to support a growing child while allowing enough time to take care of it. She had to cut back on many of her more frivolous activities, and feels like she's had to grow up far too fast. Things are hard, and if life is going to be dreadful, well, she decided she's going to be dreadful right back.
She took an interest into her Spanish culture, which she had put on the wayside for a life of fun and fashion. She's began visiting her grandmother to help her through tough times, and decided she wanted her son to grow up in a cultural home.
Ongoing Story
While she initially depended on kind neighbors and family to take care of Quien while she worked, when Quien was old enough to start school they moved to the city, where finding work was easier. Their life was difficult but happy, and she watched her son grow into a fine adult.
When she started getting older and sicker, Quien decided to move them out of the city and back to a small town, where she could relax and be taken care of. Although Margarita had sacrificed her own comfort to move to the city for her child, the fact that her child was now sacrificing his comfort for her displeases her greatly. She knows he hates the country, and although she prefers it, she feels it's a mother's job to makes the sacrifices.
