Maria

Maria is a living statue that serves as the guardian for Chimera's Rest, a grand Chimereon cemetery with marvelous landscaping. Rumor has it that she used to be a devout nun who ascended to a statue form after death, but others say she was brought to life by the souls of those buried in Chimera's Rest. In truth, she's a fallen angel that was condemned to brimstone, twisted into something demonic. Once relentless and violent, she was given clemency from the heavens on the condition that she serve out her time as a statue.

She quietly overlooks the cemetery, moving only when nobody else is around and standing perfectly still. In her statue form, she is entirely mute and not likely to move unless she's comfortable around someone.

When Marie becomes close to another, she may present herself as curious and even a bit playful; she enjoys playing tricks and messing with people, such as only moving when someone else isn't looking. This may be deemed creepy by some, but it's how she has fun.

Her second form only manifests when angry, endangered, or in any other state of emotional height. This is the only form that she can speak in, her voice static and spoken from two mouths simultaneously as if possessed by a ghostly presence. but she seldom manifests this way. This is the form she took before being turned into a statue, accessible now through occasional transformation.
