The Librarian

Armelle is the elegant and wise hostess of the Crystal Spire, a great tower located deep within the city of Suramar. The lower levels of the tower has a large library, full of bookshelves containing ancient knowledge, books, tomes and scrolls. Armelle offers guidance and knowledge for those interested in learning from those rare manuscripts and will act as a tutor and even teach some simple spells if her visitors are commited to learning from her.

The Fel Seduction

A talented arcanist, Armelle was a much more sociable person in the past who conducted a lot of practical experiments to help the nightborne society. She went like this for a couple centuries, until the day the demons took over. The fall of the barrier of Suramar was somewhat her fall from grace as well.

Within the incident, she saw her family, and later, her fiancee being killed in the initial chaos, leaving the arcanist alone within her tower. If only she could lead those she loved inside in time, if only she had some way to counter the terrible fel magic those fiends wielded. But that was a power she was not familiar with, and for the first time in centuries she felt impotent and unable to figure out a solution to help herself or the others.

When everything settled down and Suramar was taken under demonic control Armelle decided to play along as one of Elisande's followers. She wouldn't get anything by letting hatred taking over and get herself killed in a rebellion. Instead she studied, she learned, she adapted. She managed to stabilish a direct contact with the now abundant sources of demonic magic and as she started to get familiar with that seductive power she started taking a like for the thing. Enticing as it could be, she wouldn't let herself to be corruped so easily as she saw many before. She decided to apply her own arcane knowledge to mitigate the demonic influence and wield that power as a safe tool. She would summon and controls demons as a mean of vengeance to make them kneel before her hatred and authority. She would turn them her playthings.

The Demonologist

The upper levels of the Crystal Spire are Armelle's personal quarters and research facilities. Those include a luxurious bedroom, a personal library containing her personal tomes, and at the upper level, her demonic summoning chamber. The demonic summoning chamber is a place with the walls, roof and ceiling carved with runes, magical inscriptions and wards to create a controlled environment for demonic summoning. There Armelle conducts her experiments which involve summoning demons and studying them. Thanks for the well prepapred room, those experiments are fairly safe and free of demonic corruption, though trouble could arise if a ill mannered demon manage to leave the tower somehow.
