PROFILE
Throughout the many generations of Roscoe and Duke's completely pureblood vampire family, there's been a sort of condition that falls on one of each generation's of offspring: the almost complete inability to control one's lust for blood when hungry. While Roscoe has the complete ability to gracefully control his hunger and even made the executive decision to stop drinking from humans, Duke does not possess such a luxury. Although he also does not enjoy drinking from humans, he physically cannot stop himself from biting if he's pushed himself to be hungry enough, almost as if his body is possessed. This has led him to biting and turning a slightly large amount of humans, a thing that he carries a lot of guilt for. The reason why his body is covered in scars is because he's been the subject of many sort of "witch hunts" and even animal attacks as a result of his scarily intense state when he gets hungry. People in nearby towns and cities have many local legends comparing him to a wolf or a demon.
Despite his condition, Duke is actually a very gentle soul. He prefers to spend a lot of time alone doing his own thing. He has trouble opening up to people and the only friend he really has is his brother Roscoe. Nowadays, he's a deep recluse who wasn't drank blood in a couple hundred years because he's too afraid of losing control, so he is a tiny bit sick-looking at all times.
PERSONALITY
Duke is quiet, solemn, and unlaughing. Barely anything can make him crack a smile. He's too introverted for his own good, and likes to work at his own pace. With people he is extremely comfortable with, like his brother, he can have a short temper and a short, sarcastic tongue. Most of the time, he's hanging out in his mancave in he and his brother's shared family mansion, listening to music and chipping away at various projects. Working out is something that he also does quite often in an attempt to control his own body, hence his very muscular disposition.
Despite his tough and intimidating appearance, Duke actually has a big heart for people around him. He's extremely loyal and will always lend an ear. Even if he feigns annoyance to Roscoe's antics and emotions, deep down he cares deeply for his brother more than anything. Duke also often feels lonely and isolated from the rest of the world, but tries not to talk to burden Roscoe with his feelings, often feeling like he has to play the role of the stoic and strong big brother.

- Unlike Roscoe, who is pretty much stuck in the 1800s, Duke is actually very invested in the modern times and has always kept up with the latest technology and historical developments.
- According to Duke, he is one of the only people allowed to bully Roscoe.
- When Roscoe was married to Sheila, Duke actually liked having one extra person in their big, lonely house. And she was nice and friendly to him, not acting afraid in the slightest. He's still a little bummed that Roscoe blew it in that department, but will always consider himself friends with Sheila -- and she feels the same for him.
- His mancave/big room at their house has a lot of fancy speakers in it for playing music, he's on a far opposite side of the house so that Roscoe can't hear him too well. He also has a large flatscreen TV for watching movies.
- Duke is actually better at cooking the meals than Roscoe is, but doesn't really care to try cooking most days. Too lazy and preoccupied most of the time.
