Event 1
The middle child of his family, Rune never thought himself strange or lonely despite being homeschooled in their Inn. One of the few youngsters in the small town, whenever he went out to play or relax in the springs, the elderly guests never brought up his patchy skin. They even called him pretty with small jokes that their hair would look like his soon.
Event 2
His first culture shock was when his family moved to a larger city. He was so excited to meet all sorts of new people in school, but of course the first question was why he looked so weird. The children were scolded about being rude, however, he was still avoided as if contagious. The most unforgettable instance when someone he thought he was becoming friends with jumped when he touched them to get their attention. While nice, and apologizing, Rune started thinking his appearance really was something grotesque.
Event 3
It didn't help his mentality when he grew his hair out and started wearing more layers. Other kids didn't avoid him as much though, the important part being that he was far happier and properly getting along with everyone by hiding his discoloring. The older he became, the more understanding he was they were all simply young. Interacting with people still made him nervous when face to face, so he decided to try going back to what he was use to. A smaller town, where he could comfortably hide and take care of others.
