From the moment of resurrection, Heath has embraced her extraordinary existence, reveling in the thrills of her speed. She is tenacious in testing limitations, having pushed herself to Mach 1 before wear to her physical body became apparent. With continuous usage of her power, her core achieves high temperatures. This dangerous aspect of herself forces her to avoid contact with others for a brief time after travel. She has also learned a very vital necessity in being cautious to reveal her unnatural traits. Being naive in her newborn Cypherus years, her powers have been clocked by VesselCorp from reckless exposure. Her exact features aren't known, providing her some freedom and access to civilization. She's refused to let it inhibit her however, as escape proves itself an easy feat from any adversary.

Although Heath seems aloof and indifferent, it's immediately evident she likes someone in the way she cracks a grin. Initially, she may be observed at the distant fringes of a crowd, her striking looks tending to draw notice. Once one's attention is centered on her, she appears to notice just as swiftly, becoming an irregular sight — seeming to disappear and reappear in flashes between faces. What determines whether she stays or disappears is difficult to determine. Choosing to chase her tends to be the dealbreaker though. For those she has grown to be close friends with, Heath bears a very different side: brimming with an excitability in speech that renders her breathless. There's nothing she enjoys more than delighting buddies with antics and gifts. Heath boasts a bleeding heart for the innocent and oppressed, putting a quick end to violence if she witnesses it. She is prone to hardcore crushes, openly flirting, but respectful in being rejected. She has learned she is best suited for long-distance partners that don't mind her freely mingling lifestyle.

JOB / HOBBIES

As an easily imagined advantage of a speedster, Heath travels often. She ventures all over Palleth, returning home on a frequent basis. Though it's evident she isn't well-suited for isolated town life, it is impossible for her to sever her bond with the people there in favor of a truly roving lifestyle. Heath is devoted to her neighbors, assisting with all range of errands and chores. Serving as well as an on-call bodyguard for her community, she fiercely protects the denizens from ruffians and other dangers. She makes enemies often, but doesn't play around in a fight if there's legitimate danger to others around her. Though she gets by on scanty finances, she puts her pennies towards supporting local businesses. A particular flower shop earns a purchase from her with every visit, and she often distributes parts of her overflowing cactus collection to friends out of town.

HISTORY

Heath has no recollection of her past life. She died in a wildfire attempting to rescue others, traces of the tragedy reflected in her reincarnate form: “burning cinders” in her eyes, scalding smoke exhalation. Her super-speed born from a desire to be bold in everything and exceed her limitations and fears. The Grem she was in her past life was injured early on — struck by a vehicle — and was dealt a timid nature and crippled leg for it. Her unshakeable fear cost her countless opportunities and even (what she viewed as) the life of a friend that she was too scared to make a move to “save”. Her final act as a living Grem was shoving aside the fear and guilt that plagued her her whole life in a sacrifice for strangers. She emerged from literal ashes as a manifestation of the Grem she had always desired to be: smiling and fearless and limitless. Although she does have residual anxieties that carried over; she vaguely flinches around fire and cars for a reason she doesn’t understand, but merely brushes off.

Jezzi  [ girlfriend ]

In Heath's unbridled stride through life, Jezzi has stepped in and somehow thrown a vibrant spin on everything the Cypherus has known. There's a rush that comes with revisiting old thrills with Jezzi's hand in her own, and new experiences have proven unforgettable while they've been side by side. Anywhere they go and everything they do, Heath is falling for her all the harder. Heath didn't have much of an interest for social media before, being cautious to access it given her supernatural status. But she's since exploded with curiosity and support for her girlfriend's career, unable to hold back from gazing over Jezzi's shoulder whenever she opens her phone. They've since celebrated their 1 year anniversary together.

Lucious  [ best friend ]

One of her most heartwarming connections. Lucious was one of the first she was able to entrust with her secret as a Cypherus grem. Their feisty and fun-loving nature nature drew Heath in, and their bond has yielded many years of hilarity and adventures. He introduced her to many scenes, and their shared interests have solidified as some of her intense favorites over time.
