Post-Ronda Incident Csasa still uses birds to talk but they do not have human forms and are unnamed.

Lass and Cadet are Csasa's "twin" messengers. Their original forms are zebra finches, but they are humans most of the time; Csasa can always use an extra pair of hands or two. They seem devoid of emotion and critical thought. These birds are usually not referred to by name in text because they're not even real contributors to the household drama, but like extensions of Csasa's body.

SENSES

Both birds have limited hearing ability and can only hear everything Csasa hears. Thus, if Csasa is knocked out, the birds will not listen to anyone.

SPEAKING ABILITY

Csasa uses both birds to speak since his own ability to talk is impaired; they verbally relay thoughts he sends to them. They can talk in both human and bird forms and do not have to be within a certain distance to hear Csasa's thoughts, but he keeps them close anyway. To save space or put others at ease, Csasa will sometimes have one bird perch on his shoulder and speak for him while he lipsyncs.

EXTRA INFO

Lass and Cadet are not the first bodies Csasa has spun from scratch, but they are the first (and only) results of his experiments in creating a new body around a pre-existing soul. Though it may not look like it, Csasa exercises great control over them; they are still birds in the head.

The twins are the last two birds from Csasa's original flock of aether-born zebra finches, which he used to use to deliver dreams. Most of the flock died during his experiments, and he released the rest out of guilt after Lass was successfully created.

Lass is a little more emotive than Cadet.
