Anderson is a strange individual. Born to a cold, domineering, religious single mother, he learned to mask before he could even recognize emotions. Thanks to her suffocating presence and a now unlawful practice known as rebirthing/holding therapy, Anderson learned from the age of four to hide his true feelings under a tight smile. He is skilled in manipulation and rhetoric which he uses to get his way.

The mysterious death of his mother placed him into the care of Second Chance Orphanage at age twelve, where he would stay until its eventual shutdown in 1995. Dr. Harold-Ulysses Clyde, having known Anderson from frequent hospital visits, adopted him. Anderson regards Harold as his father, and he trusts him more than anyone else. He doesn't even question Harold's second job, being his willing assistant. 

He doesn't... exactly know what he wants to do. He doesn't really know himself, and he shapes himself into what people want--whether it be a friend, a lover, or an enemy. What is consistent about him is his obsession with religion, specifically catholic iconography. You will often catch him in the abandoned church, or wearing rosaries, or wearing clothes similar to priests.

Anderson is also a natural prophet. When he touches others, there is a chance he will get a vision of their upcoming future. He can also get glimpses of his own future when he suffers a PNES (Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizure) episode, which is triggered by intense and acute stress. All of these traits contribute to a perfect storm for a potential cult leader.
