Exasperated • Unsociable • Bitter Gauss' human life was rife with trauma. He lived in solitude, estranged from friends or family, and compulsively collected items in a practice known as "hoarding". Gauss was stubborn and deeply troubled, and no attempts to help him were ever successful. [Daffodil], a small rat-like esk with a hoarding streak of her own, happened to find herself in what she perceived to be a treasure trove of collectibles. She stumbled across Gauss when he was at his lowest, and in her excitement of finding what she believed would be a kindred spirit and fellow collector, Daffodil let loose a power she barely understood and transformed Gauss into as esk himself. Gauss, however, was not the least bit pleased about this event. Their life of hoarding had been hollow, painful and compulsory, and now their new form was like a purgatory - dooming them even in the afterlife to be burdened with the weight of their untreated sickness. After Gauss' death/transformation, their property was deemed hazardous and the house foreclosed on. Neglect caused the structure to begin collapsing, and the surrounding neighborhood treated the property like a dumping ground. Trash, hazardous waste, abandoned cars and machinery fill the property, which only serves to further aggravate Gauss. Daffodil is absolutely enamored with Gauss and all of the wondrous items in his boundary, while Gauss remains resentful of everyone and everything around him.

- Gauss is a little smaller than a fullgrown kiwi bird.
